Job Title: Youth Pastor

Location: Dayton Vineyard Church

Job Type: Starting Part-Time (25 hrs/ week), Full-time with progress.

Reports To: Senior Pastor/Church Executive Team

Job Summary: Provide pastoral leadership for the discipleship of the next generation (grades 6-12).

Develop a community of disciple makers who humbly serve our youth and their families by

proclaiming and demonstrating the kingdom of God. Envision, design and implement a ministry that

embodies the Vision and Values of the Dayton Vineyard Church and is intentionally built for

students in grades 6-12 to seek God’s kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry program that includes worship,

discipleship, fellowship, and outreach activities.

• Plan and lead weekly youth group meetings, Bible studies, and special events.

• Focus youth services as the setting for students to hear the gospel, grow in their faith, have

healthy relationships, and be an example of Christ to the world.

• Provide pastoral care and counseling to youth and their families.

• Recruit, train, and oversee volunteer disciple makers and ministry volunteers.

• Collaborate with other church staff and ministries to integrate youth activities into the

broader church community.

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about youth

ministry activities and events.

• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all youth members.

Other Responsibilities:

• Build bridges into student culture by developing relationships in the community with schools

and youth organizations.

• Steward budget and church facilities in a professional manner.

• Maintain ministry safety by updating, and implementing new policies and procedures for the

church, leaders, and students.

• Participation in Dayton Vineyard Church events, outreaches, and gatherings.

Qualifications:

• A strong personal faith and commitment to the Christian Faith, values, and leadership

qualities outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-13.

• Understands, practices, and able to articulate Charismatic/ Third Wave ministry dynamics and

theological perspectives

• A healthy marriage (if married) and family

• Effective communicator in large-group settings

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education/ Experience:

• Required: College Degree, Ministry training, or certificate program completion.

• Desired: Theological and biblical education.

• Previous experience working with youth in a church or ministry setting.

• Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, volunteers, and parents.

• Self-motivated with strong organizational and leadership skills.

Compensation:

• Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• Paid personal/ vacation/ sick time
