Their primary focus is to provide excellent quality fencing that meets the needs of customers in Northwest Arkansas. Our services include installing all kinds of residential and commercial fencing.
Thomas Fence is a trusted provider of high-quality fencing solutions, known for our craftsmanship, integrity, and commitment to customer satisfaction. As a Fence Builder Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Salary: From $18-$25 per hour depending on experience.

Job Summary:
Thomas Fence is seeking a skilled and experienced Fence Builder Lead to manage and work alongside installation crews, ensuring the successful and timely completion of fence installation projects. This position oversees all aspects of on-site operations, including material staging, team performance, and client interaction. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with technical expertise and a commitment to excellence, safety, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Crew Management
• Supervise and lead fence installers on-site
• Train and mentor crew members in proper techniques and safety standards
• Set daily goals and ensure clarity of expectations
2. Installation Oversight
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and work orders
• Conduct pre-installation site inspections
• Ensure installations meet company and client specifications
3. Quality Control
• Perform detailed inspections of completed work
• Address on-site challenges and make real-time decisions
• Guarantee high standards of craftsmanship
4. Safety Compliance
• Enforce Thomas Fence’s safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Conduct tailgate safety meetings and ensure PPE is worn
• Identify and address safety risks proactively
5. Customer Interaction
• Serve as primary on-site contact for clients
• Communicate progress and resolve concerns professionally
• Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the project
6. Administrative Duties
• Complete daily reports, time sheets, and material logs
• Provide project updates to Operations Manager
• Coordinate with warehouse for timely material delivery
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in fence installation
• Leadership experience in a construction or field crew environment
• Strong proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to read plans and interpret measurements accurately
• Solid problem-solving and organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
• Operation of light equipment (e.g., skid steers, augers)
• Familiarity with building codes and permitting
• CDL or ability to obtain one preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Lift up to 80lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
• Comfortable standing, kneeling, and walking on uneven terrain
