Background Check Coordinator (Contract)

Columbus, OH - Hybrid 2-3 days a week in the office.

Overview:

The Background Check Coordinator will conduct background checks for distribution operations candidates in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This includes managing background adjudication, supporting the security alarm permit process, and assisting with false alarm resolutions. The role will involve close collaboration with the Asset Protection team and Talent Acquisition partners.

Responsibilities:

• Background Check Process: Conduct background checks for distribution operations candidates using local public record sites and a 3rd party background software system.
• Adjudication and Reporting: Review company adjudication guidelines, update documents, and provide adjudication results to the background vendor and Talent Acquisition partner.
• Motor Vehicle Report (MVR): Submit motor vehicle report background checks and communicate results to business partners in a timely manner.
• Security Alarm Permits & False Alarm Resolution: Support the Security Alarm Permits and False Alarm Resolution program, troubleshoot false alarms, place work orders as needed, and provide follow-up.
• Digitization and Documentation: Digitize false alarm fines and permit applications, submit alarm permit applications and renewals, and catalog permit information to ensure timely reapplication.
• Vendor and Permit Administration: Fill out New Vendor Forms, upload to DocuSign for review, and submit documentation to the AP Specialist and Senior Asset Protection Manager.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Asset Protection Specialist and Senior Asset Protection Manager. Communicate with other business partners and Talent Acquisition team for the distribution centers.
• Additional Duties: Perform additional duties assigned by the Senior Asset Protection Manager.

Requirements:

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, be fast and agile, and work well under pressure.
• Solid self-initiative, positive attitude, and accountability with a strong ability to collaborate and handle conflict.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid work environment: 2-3 days a week in the office .
• Local to Columbus, OH, with availability for 40 hours per week.
