Who They're Looking For:Our client is open to two types of candidates:
Entry-level candidates with a degree in Accounting who are eager to learn and grow in the real estate industry.
Experienced Property Accountants who may not have a degree but bring solid, hands-on knowledge of accruals, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and ideally CAM/OPEX reconciliations.
$55,000 - $70,000 , with potential flexibility for candidates who bring prior real estate accounting experience.
Manage general ledger accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties.
Perform monthly journal entries and maintain GLs.
Analyze income statement variances and assist in property budgeting and reforecasting.
Review leases to ensure accurate billing and proper recoveries.
Prepare reconciliations for CAM, property taxes, insurance, and utilities.
Build strong relationships with tenants to resolve disputes around expenses.
Assist in quarterly property valuations and audit support.
Work closely with AP/AR and Lease Administration teams.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR equivalent hands-on experience in a similar accounting role.
At least 1+ years of accounting experience (commercial real estate experience highly preferred).
Experience with Yardi or Argus is a plus.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented, dependable, and a natural problem solver.
100% in-office with as-needed flexibility to work from home on occasion as needed
