Position Summary

The MMC Assembler is responsible for assembling and maintaining the production of Case Carts products to meet customer requirements.

What You'll do as a MMC Assembler

  • Ability to assemble based on knowledge of the functions of major component parts and sub-assemblies within an assigned area.
  • Use and understand torque wrenches and test equipment and trouble shoot.
  • Maintain published productivity standards on moderately challenging assemblies by utilizing a traveler, blueprint and standard work.
  • Maintain high quality standards (meet the departments published quality rating).
  • Maintain safe work areas and practice safe work habits.
  • Apply 5S tools to include the T-card system.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Computer Skills: including Microsoft Office and Shop Floor Control.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as 5S, Kanban Inventory.
  • Ability to read blueprints, knowledge of schematics.
  • Experience using torque wrenches, test equipment, and related troubleshooting.
  • Ability to make decisions and stay quality-focused.
  • Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both written and oral.
  • Ability to adapt to conditions as dictated by business requirements.
  • Proven teamwork experience.
  • Ability to work overtime, if required.

Preferred: 

  • Prior AS400/Oracle experience preferred.
  • Experience with hydraulics and electrical component assemblies is desired.
