WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Surgical Technologist for a local contract job in Syracuse, New York.

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at Prestigious Hospital in Syracuse.

Job Function:

\n

• Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures.
\n
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation and document according to policy.
\n
• Prepare patients for surgery as requested.
\n
• Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, or anesthesiologists as needed.
\n
• Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques.
\n
• Operate, adjust, and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation.
\n
• Take inventory and order surgical supplies as needed.
\n

Job Requirements:

\n

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program.
\n
• Hold Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
\n
• BLS preferred (American Heart Association).
\n
• 1 year of experience as a certified Surgical Tech working in an OR setting is required.
\n
