Starting Hourly Pay Rate: $16.00 to $17.50; 18 hours a week, guaranteed!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities as a LIFEGUARD (including but not limited to):

• Possession of a valid Red Cross Lifeguard Certification either prior to or immediately following employment with SafeSplash®
• The main focus to ensure the safety of everyone, both in the pool and on the deck, while keeping a careful watch over all pool activities
• Consistently monitor, identify, and manage any potential dangers
• Administers first aid in the event of injury; rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning; administers CPR and/or artificial respiration if necessary
• Assist the deck manager as needed and informs him/her of anything warranting his/her attention
• Take the lead in and assist with setting up and down before and after classes

Other Duties:

Performs other duties as assigned by management

Position Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous lifeguard experience is preferred
• Fluent in English; bilingual Spanish speaking a BIG plus
• Individual must be trainable, creative, and willing to follow directions
• Swim background; must be able to demonstrate swim strokes
• Available to work flexible hours, including weekends
• Must be comfortable interacting with teens and adults
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds in weight
• Hours: 20 hours per week

Workdays: Candidate must be available to work consistently on any of the following days:

• Saturday (9:00 AM to 2:30 PM) AND
• Monday to Friday (3:00 PM to 8:30 PM)
• Tuesdays (9:00 AM to 1:30 PM)
