Job Summary

The HR Coordinator (HRC) is responsible for finding and acquiring talented individuals for the organization, and ensuring they have an excellent recruitment and onboarding experience. The HRC supports the growth and success of the organization by assisting the HR Team with the execution of the company's recruitment strategy.

Essential Functions

  • Administers the full-cycle recruitment process for the organization, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, preparing and extending offers (seeking approval as necessary) and pre-boarding / onboarding. Creates and maintains electronic documentation for each recruited position
  • Hosts intake sessions with hiring managers to understand recruiting needs, discuss recruitment strategy, and set service level agreements
  • Effectively utilizes recruiting tools (LinkedIn, Indeed, and others) to manage pipelines, applicant flow, dispositioning of candidates, etc.
  • Issues new hire paperwork, orders drug screens, and tracks new hire progress through the pre-boarding process
  • Provides timely communication to candidate and hiring managers regarding status, including delays or clearance, ensuring excellent candidate pre-boarding experience
  • Leads and executes onboarding planning, in partnership with the Hiring Manager and other support personnel. Ensures onboarding items are completed in a timely manner, new employees have a positive onboarding experience and feel welcome at M&H
  • Enters new hires into Vista, Employee Navigator, and other company systems. Collects and files New Hire documents
  • Communicates with candidates and hiring managers in a timely, professional and proactive manner
  • Tracks recruiting data including vacancy rate, time to fill, and other key metrics and regularly prepares trend reports for HR Manager. Facilitates bi-monthly Recruiting Update meetings
  • Helps proactively manage employer reputation and presence by managing M&H LinkedIn page, attending community events and job fairs, and by creating and maintaining relationships with key schools and programs
  • Maintains knowledge of current company operations, benefit offerings, incentives and policies to accurately answer candidate questions
  • Partners with HR Generalist to facilitate New Employee Orientation
  • Organizes and serves as primary contact for company Internship Program
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and in accordance with Musselman and Hall policies and values
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with candidates and hiring managers
  • Ability to effectively utilize multiple interviewing techniques to assess candidates’ technical and cultural fit for the position and/or organization
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, time management, ability to meet deadlines, and organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations related to recruiting and onboarding activities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite, as well as proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Vista, the organization’s HRIS system

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required
  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources (preferred but not required)
  • Professional Certification, such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

Other Requirements

  • Full-time hours required; most work will be performed on weekdays during normal business hours; however, schedule flexibility to meet candidate needs may be required
  • Some travel to M&H office locations may be required
