HOT HOT Copywriter CONTRACT starts 5/6, FULL-TIME, ON-SITE, Milwaukee WI

C2 client, a national leader in sustainable water solutions, seeks a contract Copywriter to support a high-priority, fast-moving project focused on marketing communications. The Copywriter will be responsible for developing clear, compelling content across digital, print, and campaign assets—serving as both a writer and strategic partner on a brand-new initiative.

Start Date: Tuesday, May 6, 2025

Duration: 1–2 months (full-time, contract)

Location: On-site in the cool new offices in Walker's Point in Milwaukee, WI

Compensation: $35-$40, negotiable based on experience

About the Role:

This is a collaborative and fast-paced contract role within a highly respected B2B organization committed to sustainability and innovation. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to bring a new project to life through strategic, high-impact copywriting. This is not a junior position—the ideal candidate will bring 5–7 years of experience, a polished portfolio, and the confidence to contribute both creatively and strategically.

This role requires strong marketing communications experience, with bonus points for social media or campaign exposure. You should be curious, proactive, and organized, with the ability to deliver results in deadline-driven environments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute clear, engaging marketing communications for a high-profile internal initiative
• Write content for various formats including digital, print, internal communications, and external campaigns
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on tone, voice, messaging, and strategy
• Manage shifting priorities with focus and flexibility—this project is evolving and exploratory
• Provide thought partnership—ask smart questions, guide conversations, and elevate creative direction
• Deliver polished, audience-appropriate copy under tight deadlines, with minimal revision cycles

Ideal Candidate:

• 5–7 years of experience in copywriting, marketing communications, or related fields
• Strong preference for candidates with corporate or B2B client experience
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and the ability to contribute beyond the brief
• Strong organizational and time-management skills—able to juggle multiple deadlines
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working within evolving creative direction
• Bonus: experience with social media content or integrated campaign development
