Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and expanding our food service operations with a focus on retail coffee shop programs offering functional mushroom-based beverages. You’ll lead the development of innovative beverage programs, ensure consistent and exceptional customer service, manage inventory and costs, and drive operational efficiency across multiple locations. This role involves approximately 75% travel and is perfect for a dynamic, beverage-savvy leader who thrives in a wellness-focused, fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and implement functional mushroom-based beverage programs, including menu development, product offerings, and promotional strategies.
Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
Oversee the preparation, presentation, and service of functional mushroom beverages across all locations.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in coffee shop and kitchen operations.
Manage inventory of ingredients and functional mushrooms, including ordering and stock control.
Monitor and manage food, beverage, and labor costs to achieve budget targets.
Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships; negotiate prices and manage timely procurement.
Streamline coffee shop operations and ensure seamless coordination between front-of-house and kitchen staff.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute in-store promotions, special events, and seasonal beverage rollouts.
Travel approximately 75% of the time to oversee store operations, provide training, and ensure consistency across locations.
Innovate and develop new menu items, including seasonal offerings, that align with current health and wellness trends.
Education and Experience:
Proven experience as a Food Service Manager, Coffee Shop Manager, or similar role in the food and beverage industry.
Deep understanding of functional mushrooms and their health benefits is strongly preferred.
Experience creating and implementing beverage programs for wellness-oriented coffee shops or food service environments.
Familiarity with food safety standards, quality control, and sanitation regulations.
Experience in cost control, inventory management, and budget tracking.
Food Handler Certification or other relevant certifications preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership and customer service skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for wellness education.
Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Proficient in developing seasonal beverage menus and executing promotional strategies.
Comfortable traveling frequently to manage multiple coffee shop locations (75% travel required).
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
