Job Description Stargazer Hollow Farm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to lead the daily operations of our sustainable farm and to help us plan and build in a brand-new farm space. This key role involves overseeing the cultivation of heirloom produce while ensuring our farming practices align with our mission to produce high-quality, earth-friendly food and foster a deeper connection between our community and the source of their nourishment. The Farm Manager will coordinate planting schedules, manage a small team of paid field crew members and workshare and other volunteers, participate in planning and forecasting, learn and implement natural and organic integrated pest management systems, and collaborate with other managers and team members. The farm also has livestock animals, and though the Farm Manager will have a partner in the Barn Manager who will mostly handle the livestock side, there may be some livestock work for the Farm Manager as well based on the interests of the candidate and needs of the farm. Ideal candidates have a strong background in agriculture, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for sustainable farming.
