Job Description

An international food manufacturing company in the Folcroft, PA area is searching for a Entry level Nutritional R&D Associate to join their team! They specialize in producing plant-based food. The ideal candidate will be someone with Associate’s degree (culinary, food science, biology, or other related fields), who can pay attention to small details and keep the laboratory clean and safe. This is a full-time, direct-hire role.

Entry level Nutritional R&D Associate Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain and facilitate the safety and sanitation of the laboratory
• Support shipping and receiving of food samples
• Support product development and process improvement
• Perform accurate and consistent data entry and manage documents / reports
• Other duties might be assigned

Entry level Nutritional R&D Associate Requirements:

• Associate’s degree (culinary, food science, biology, or other related fields) required
• 1 or 2 years of experience in handling food (working at restaurant, for example) is a plus
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good organizational skills and time management ability
• Experience or interest in plant-based / vegan food and / or beverages is a plus
• Understanding and knowledge of food production, safety, regulations, hygiene and quality
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• This position includes laboratory work environment. While performing the duties of this job you are required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
