Job Description

Job Summary: The Entry-Level Interior Designer will play a key role in supporting the design team and the procurement team in the development and execution of residential and commercial interior design projects. The role requires strong proficiency in AutoCAD, as well as hands-on involvement in FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) procurement. The ideal candidate will assist with ordering and procurement, prepare construction drawings and builder specification books, maintain our material library, and help with logistics and order preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the design team in preparing detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Help prepare builder specification books for various projects, ensuring all details are accurate and up to standard.
• Assist in building design presentations.
• Prepare for and attend client meetings when needed.
• Responsible for the design and execution of our smaller projects.
• Assist in ordering and procuring furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for commercial projects.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery and quality control.
• Source and coordinate with receivers and installers to ensure successful project completion
• Help manage the material library, ensuring proper documentation and organization of materials.
• Collaborate with the ordering and logistics department in preparing SRSI quotes.
• Open incoming packages and ensure items match the purchase order and project specifications.
• Prepare order sheets and purchase orders in coordination with the procurement team.
• Create custom furniture specification packets.
• Assist in delivering fabric samples to local custom vendors for projects.
• Ensure all procurement-related documents are accurately tracked and maintained.
• Help with the organization and upkeep of the project files, design documentation, and material specifications.
• Assist on project installations and staging.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience at a commercial design firm (internship experience is acceptable).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is a must.
• Familiarity with FF&E procurement processes and material sourcing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of Monday.com software is a plus.
• Be willing to travel.
