Job Description

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Cobol / DB2 Programmer. This role will be responsible for development and support of Benefit Letters, Member Welcome packages and ID Cards systems in COBOL, DB2, mainframe.

Partial Onsite - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Minimum – Columbia, SC

Required Qualifications of the Cobol / DB2 Programmer:

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
• Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or other job-related field or years of job-related work experience or 4 years-of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.

•* *Required Technologies: COBOL, DB2, mainframe

•* *Nice to Have: EZTrieve, Endevor, JCL and CICS. Scripting experience using Python. VS Code, GitHub, MicroFocus APS(COBOL language generator)

• Must be able to follow directions, adapt to changing requirements, and show initiative in learning and growing with the team

Responsibilities of the Cobol / DB2 Programmer:

• Our team (The Client Enrollment System) processes member, Group and Patient ID updates — in near time or real time to generate ID Cards, Summary of Benefit Letters, Member Welcome Letters and Renewal Packages.
• Additionally we support and develop Web applications that integrate with the mainframe CES application. Required Technologies: COBOL, DB2, mainframe
