Are you a sales leader that knows how to motivate a sales team? The Free Press is looking for an Advertising Sales Manager to lead their print and digital sales efforts. The sales manager is responsible for growing our print and digital advertising revenue by working collaboratively with members of the sales team. As the leader in the advertising department, you’ll educate both our clients and staff on best practices for delivering marketing solutions that deliver ROI for our customers and that reaches our highly-desired audiences.
This position accomplishes its mission through a combination of: 1) collaborative sales efforts with sales staff and key stake holders and 2.) Solo direct sales efforts on targeted accounts and industries.
Reporting to the publisher, the right candidate will find immediate success, benefiting from our excellent market reputation, 100’s of pre-existing customer relationships and ready/willing team members eager to introduce our marketing solutions to their clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the inside and outside sales teams for the Free Press.
Leads and educates team members by example through a high volume of internal and customer presentations.
Develops and implements digital solutions and marketing campaigns for clients across our portfolio that meets our revenue and profitability goals while maximizing return-on-investment for the advertiser.
Plays an active role in development of new business strategies to meet changing advertiser needs.
Provides ongoing communication about sales initiative success to department managers, and sales representatives as needed
Provides input on staff’s digital sales performance and other advertising department issues, as needed.
Works with external digital solution vendors to understand their products and maximize the revenue opportunity available.
Provides training and leadership to area sales teams.
Minimum Requirements: If you like leading sales teams, have a knack for finding and developing new business and good communication and leadership skills we want to talk to you about how you can be a key leader for our company. You must have excellent organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to develop extensive proposals with multiple products. Must hold a valid driver's license and dependable vehicle, as travel is required.
Salary: $45,000-$55,000 + commission
